*Here at Samantha Hypnotherapy I have helped hundreds of clients to overcome anxiety and I can help you too.
What is Anxiety?
Anxiety is a word we use to describe feelings of unease, worry and fear. We all know what it’s like to feel anxious from time to time. It’s quite common to feel tense, nervous and maybe even fearful at the thought of a stressful event or decision your facing – particularly if it could have a big impact on your life, for example moving home, taking exams, starting a new job, relationships ending etc.
In these situations it’s totally understandable to have worries about what the outcome will be. Usually after the situation has passed the feelings of worry stop. However if you suffer from anxiety, it’s likely that you will then be worrying about the next event or situation this is known as GAD (General Anxiety Disorder). Sadly this vicious cycle will continue until you can learn how to take control of the situation and calm the worrying thoughts.
*Through hypnosis I can help you to remove the unnecessary worry and to give you the tools to calm the anxiety.
General Anxiety Disorder can be a long term condition that makes you feel worried all the time. Many client’s that I see initially for this disorder cannot remember the last time they felt relaxed. *However once you are on my comfortable couch I can help you not only to relax but to overcome these negative thoughts and feelings and to really enjoy the relaxation that hypnotherapy brings.
General Anxiety Disorder can have psychological and physical symptoms too. Here are a few psychological symptoms:
Feeling worried all of the time, not being able to relax, seeking constant reassurance from your family or friends, suffering from exhaustion as perhaps you are not sleeping well, trouble concentrating and feeling teary.
In addition to the above, you may also have some physical symptoms of anxiety, also known as panic attacks or a panic disorder. When you are feeling anxious your body releases hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol, this is what can cause the physical symptoms. These may be: a racing heart, tight chest, jelly legs, sweaty palms/neck, stuttering, headache, feeling nauseas, feeling faint or perhaps an anxious feeling in your tummy like “butterflies”
How can hypnotherapy help me with my anxiety?
By gathering all the information I need from our consultation I will put together a personalised treatment plan for you. Once we have found the cause of your anxiety, during your sessions I can give you various tools and strategies to help you to take back control of your life and eliminate those worries.
*After each session of hypnotherapy with me you will leave feeling very calm and relaxed and ready to take control of those thoughts and feelings.
*”I first came to see Samantha for Anxiety, depression and pain management for Endometriosis. I was so bad that I found it difficult getting out and about in the car and was suffering from frequent panic attacks and was very down and tearful. Since seeing Samantha I have improved a great deal. Symptoms have reduced and I have a lot more confidence and feel content. Samantha made me feel very comfortable and relaxed and I looked forward to my sessions knowing that I would feel 10 times better once the session had finished. I have now completed my programme but I will certainly come back again if I need further help and would confidently recommend Samantha to family and friends”. EC Maidstone*
*”First of all is to say a big thank you to samantha. I still have a little way to go but never thought a year ago I’d be feeling this good. I was seeing samantha for panicked attacks, anxiety, was developing a fear of going out in evenings and the thought of food made my stomach turn. And now slowly i am feeling good about eating dinners and have started going out in evening for a bit. I know with my recording (which I really recommend people to do) every day I’m getting stronger. And to think I was scared of going to see samantha couldn’t ask for a more welcoming person to meet. Thank you so much samantha”. X TH Maidstone*
*”Before seeing Sam I suffered very badly with anxiety that challenged my day to day life, even small tasks such as travelling. The Hypnotherapy helped me cope throughout my anxiety and eventually I started feeling less anxious and could conquer my fears that I had before the sessions, I am now back to myself again and I couldn’t be more grateful to have met Sam and have had her help. Anxiety is no longer an issue for me and I couldn’t be happier!! “ ~ C*
